host notification period does not appear

Post by cwireless »

Hi

We just upgrade to Nagios XI 2012R1.4. In Core Configuration Manager, Monitoring, Hosts, Alert Setting we see the notification period blank.

But in the cfg file it shows the notification period.

Please see the attachments.

I have tried to replicate this and cannot. What browser are you using? Does it do this for all host/services?

It happens with Intenet explorer 9 and Firefox 18.0.1.

It does not happens with all host and service.

Interesting that if I enter by the Legacy Core Configuration Manager (the old one) the notification period appears.

Try running in terminal:

Code: Select all

service nagios stop
killall -9 nagios
service ndo2db stop
service ndo2db start
service nagios start
See if this fixes your problem.

Hi

I did it..
After that I realized that it happens only on internet explorer. Firefox shows the notification period properly. But our prefered browser is Intenet Explorer. Could you help us?

Try running IE in compatibility mode. There were some changes with IE and they broke jquery support. These issues are still being resolved.

Does the time period drop down appear if you use the legacy ccm in IE compatibility mode??

Does the time period apply successfully in Legacy with IE9? We are currently working to resolve a number of issues specific to IE8 and 9.
