Auto Discovery Fail

Post by 302darren »

Hi, I'm trying to setup auto discovery on our network, but when I run the tool it only picks up on 3 servers and one random machine. Our network was setup incorrectly and the netmask is unnecessarily huge (a /16), but have three or four hundred machines. From what I understand, the IP I have nagios on (10.10.14.9) is not subnetted, so there shouldn't be any problems with it accessing the entire network. Any thoughts? Is there a maybe a log somewhere that could help me with this problem?

If most of your machines are in a few /24 subnets, you could just discover those subnets independently. XI will not auto-discover host that are already monitored, just fyi.
