Hi,
I am working on nagios from past few years now.I have a project for our datacenter inventory of servers and other networking devices.I wanted to know if there is any plugin that I could use for this purpose.I thought this will immensely useful for keeping track of hardware as well as maintaining them under the same tool.
Something that would show the type of server, processor, memory info, networking details and if possible the racks (ofcourse we have asset tags on the devices).
Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Re: Server/Network Inventory plugin for Nagios
Nagivs has some options for showing rack location and server info (you have to enter in the information manually though). You could also use the notes url directive to point to a custom webpage with host information. I do not know of any automated, prepackaged solutions, although with some clever php/scripting, this could be automated.
