Sharepoint workflows - monitoring

Post by ecarrasq »

Is there a way to monitor Sharepoint workflows? Providing an alert, for a high volume of workflows?

Thanks,
Eddie

Hi Eddie,

Please see this list of custom plugins regarding Sharepoint, also, is this something simple that you could write your own plugin for?:

Thank you for the reply and the plugin url.

I've looked at the four plugins currently available in the Nagios Exchange database, but none of them would fit this need. I thought of reaching out to the Nagios community to see if anyone had the need to monitor Sharepoint workflows and if any more information was avaialble.

I'm looking more into doing something like "If a file that was uploaded to the Sharepoint Workflow is older than 24 hours = alert". I have not gotten that far, but if anyone has, would love to know.

I'll keep this thread updated should I find/make a solution.

Thank you,
Eddie

Great. If you can get the information out of sharepoint, then you are but a script away from monitoring. Take a look at the plugin developers guide when you get to that point.
