Hello,
I have an ADSL connection at home using a Cisco 2600 ADSL WIC using DHCP to ATT. Is there a way that I can have Nagios check the IP of Interface Dialer 1, compare the IP to the last known IP from ATT and notify me of the change? I don't want to keep editing the config on Nagios just because the IP changes. So I am hoping that Nagios can compare, notify and then remember the new IP. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kurt

Re: Nagios & Interface Dialer 1
First off, have you considered a dynamic dns solution? This way you could just reference the nagios server by dns name and dynamic ip changes will be updated automatically. Just a thought.
This would be best accomplished through a custom shell script. You could then run the script through cron.kluchtman wrote:Hello,
