Were you able to login to the VM in console or it would not load at all? Can you describe in details all of the steps you took to set it up?

well, installed vm server, logged in by web interface , tried to add nagios xi , and then crash, after crash i had to restart vmware web interface to get it working again, thats all ....

Just to check: Do you have the XI vmdk setup as well? Have you tried a different browser (or IE in compatibility mode)?
