Must install Nagios XI as root?

I am trying to install Nagios XI ver 2.7 on a RHEL5 64 bit machine.
I do not have root access (this is an IT infrastructure). Could I still
install XI successfully?

Yes you will need to have root permissions to install Nagios XI.
