ok, i have the service and command configured, it appears to work when tested, yet i do not see it in my service groups.

Can you click on the "Manage Servicegroups" (first screenshot), and show what you have defined there?

Run the Write Config Tool: CCM->Tools->Write Config Files->Write->Verify->Restart
Apply Configuration: CCM->Apply Configuration
then go back to the Home page and search for "check pledge hash" (or just "hash") in the search bar. See if this is going to help.

completed all the tasks, i had 11 warnings, none of the refered to the md5, and I had zero errors
