Graphs without data for cisco devices

Post by pokker67 »

Hi to everyone
i have been testintg nagiosxi but i can´t get any valid graph for traffic from cisco devices, i have used the wizard
all the steps looks ok, but just ping graphs are OK and show results
on show service status for status is green for bandwith interfaces, but this message is displayed "OK - Current BW in: 0Gbps Out: 0Gbps" so no data is displayed
i have followed this document http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... Router.pdf
without results.
I have a Nagios Core installed with plugins working and showing without problems the same information, so i think that is a problem with a configuration on nagios xi
Also i have a cacti server and graphs are ok
thanks for any clue in order to solve this issue

Generally this particular issues is due to the cisco device using oids that mrtg doesnt look at specifically. Could you send us what device it is, and what oids on the core system you are using to check these? You might also have better luck if there is a custom mib for your device that needs to be loaded.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

Can you post a few sample commands, specifically:

1. A working check or two from your nagios core box
2. A non working check from the XI server

Additionally, if you go to the advanced tab for one of the service details in XI for one of the non-working ports, do you have perf data at the bottom of the advanced status details table?
