nrpe /usr/local linux

Post by fastedy »

Ive noticed that on linux nrpe is trying to install in /usr/local.
This creates problems with our centrally mounted (nfs) copy of /usr/local

How do I install nrpe on linux with a centrally mounted /usr/local?
Why doesn't nrpe install in opt like it does in solaris?

You can install nrpe to another location by passing –prefix=$PREFIX, where $PREFIX would be /opt, at install. This will only work with source installer. See:
