Nagios alert

Post by skumar7466 »

HI all,

I have configured nagios core 3.5.0. and added all our servers...Problems are

1. for each host i enabled 4 services ( / Partition, CPU, Memory, SSH Service ). its not showing these services everytime..for your reference i have attached screenshot.. you can compare with those..sometime showing sometime not showing...i ahve tried in different browsers and different pc..still same issue..

2. Getting E-mail notification perfectly, but lot of mails around 1000 per day...need to get notification once when the services are in warning or critical state, after that i dont want to get mail again and again..want mail for recovery state too..

Need your help guys..

It is hard to compare those screenshots with just two, as the first one is at 2:22, not showing the services, and the second is 2:25 showing them, do you have one at a time later than 2:25 showing them gone again?

As far as notification intervals, and max notifications go I would take a look at the Directive Descriptions: section under Service Definition at the following URL:

http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/ ... ml#service

This will show you most of the possible lines you can add to a service configuration, including the notification options and what they mean.
