It's not necessary to do this. We've activating (mentioned this before) the Active Directory integration in Nagios XI. Alle users can login with their AD-credentials just fine. Only 2 users have problems with the login to NagVis. Alle the users can login to Nagios XI.

Forgot to mention that we've upgrade the Nagios XI installation to v3.3 en NagVis to v1.7 in the mean while.

BTW: We're a paying customer but don't know how to get access to the customer forum. A bit 8-) offtopic but maybe you can help us with that too.

The AD integration for XI will log you into that interface, however the NagVis addon component used basic authentication as it runs under a different structure.

It is my guess that somehow this stems from the AD users that aren't working is somehow due to a password mismatch between what they used when they first successfully logged into XI (then the htpasswd file is updated) and what they are using.

I guess I was offering a suggestion to be able to keep NagVis synced with AD.

You can contact sales at nagios.com with your forum username and customer ID and they can get you setup with access.

In the meanwhile 2 of the problem users have changed their passwords multiple times and the issue resolved itself. We have however 1 user with the problem. Maybe a character in the password is the problem.

For now, close the case but I think more testing looks a good idea for this system.
