Problem ready total amount of memory

Post by Latk »

Hi,
I'm testing Nagios XI to implement on the company.
I've configured the servers sucessfully, but through the bbmap (for example) while ready the total amount of memory from a server it reads 40Gb of RAM, altough the server only has 32Gb.
What may cause this problem ?

Thanks in advance

Can you show us the actual command that you are running from the command line along with the output of it? Also, show us what do you see for the memory on the client machine. Hide the sensitive info.

In this print you can see that the server only has 32Gb, however in nagios he reads 38000Mb
Don't know why exactly...

I can see that I have 38.9Gb commited
What is the difference ?

It looks like you also have cached and paged memory which would commit to what you are seeing on the Nagios server's side.

Yep. This number will include disk caching, pagefile, and physical memory.
