Pl. let us know the link to download Nagios Ping utility which should monitor alive status of Servers/Desktop systems ( Linux systems & windows systems) on Windows Vista/7.

Any of the pinging utilities will work as ICMP is OS agnostic. I suggest check_ping or check_icmp from the nagios-plugins package: http://nagiosplugins.org/
