alerts with single hostname

Hi Team,

we have to monitor router with Lan Ip and network link with Wan IP, but we need same hostname for both, but it should use different IP. we need availability of routers and links. Please suggest is there any way, so we will get alerts for both with single name.

A hostname in Nagios can only be associated with one IP address.

You could however setup special commands to use for the different checks that doesn't use the $HOSTADDRESS$ macro, but instead uses one of the $ARGn$ items where you would enter the other interface IP addresses
