I would like to monitor my SLES 10 SP3 and SLES 11 SP1 servers for local processes and services. I have seen a lot of information about this but now anything specific. There isn't an agent that can just be installed on these for this purpose? Also, I'm using NAGIOSXI and would like to make this as simple as possible to setup.

You are correct that there are no downloadable agents for suse from the XI ui. You can install nrpe from source on suse, and then configure the service checks through the ccm and suse's nrpe.cfg:
