I am working on an implementation of NRDS with Nagios XI. My understanding is that we give each host a NRDS config file to retrieve from the Server. I am wondering if it is possible to set up a hierarchical sort of configuration... that is, we have a NRDS config for Windows in general, but some subset of Windows servers have this particular application we would like to monitor, while another subset has another sort of application.
So, in this way, we would have
Windows-server.cfg
Windows-appA.cfg
Windows-appB.cfg
And one type of server would get both windows-server.cfg and windows-appA.cfg while another type would get windows-server.cfg and windows-appB.cfg
Hierarchical NRDS Config?
Re: Hierarchical NRDS Config?
This functionality does not currently exist. Some code has been written as well as a roadmap laid out, but we do not have an expected release date yet for this feature. My apologies.
As of right now, you are restricted to one config per host, and creating a second will lead to it overwriting the first.
