Adding Description Column to Host details

Is there any way to add host descriptions to a column in "host details"? Our routers use "silly codes" that are difficult for anyone that is not a network admin to read and understand the location of the router. In the description of each of these routers I have the location (Chhicago, IL for example), but that is almost useless if it doesn't get displayed unless you click on the host. It does serve a purpose for searching hosts in a particular city, but it would be much more useful if it could be displayed on the host details and/or hostgroup summary pages. Thanks.

Currently you cannot add additional columns as the data that fills them and formats them is read out of the database. We have looked at adding this, and you could submit a feature request to:

You could add the data to a notes field within the service's details page.
