Suggest for dedicated/shared both bandwidth required.

16 CPU with 2 cores each | 32 GB RAM | 1 TB HDD
CentOS-6.3 |Total = 4,000 hosts| 40,000 services.

This depends on how the devices are being checked "active / passive" "snmp / npre | nrdp / nsca" etc, and your networking hardware. It is really hard to gauge something like this, especially since checks are never scheduled for the same time, they are always separated.
