Hi Team,
Please suggest if there is an update schedule for Nagios or is it done randomly?
Also, will there be a downtime on Nagios server while upgrading Nagios XI to a newer version ? (I beleive the answer for this is Yes, but I Just wanted to make sure before we upgrade our platform).

The upgrades are usually released when:
A. Enough minor changes are made to justify a release.
B. A few major changes are made fixing bugs that need to be removed.
C. The end of year cycle for Nagios XI occurs, this is generally a larger release with a combination of the above as well as new features.
Your system will stop nagios to run the upgrade, and then start it again once complete. Most upgrades only take between 20 seconds and 2 minutes but depending on the system they may take longer.
