I apologize if I've missed something obvious here, but I seem to not be receiving performance data from passive checks. Active checks show their graphs fine under the Performance Graphs tab, on their respective service checks, but when attempting to view the same on a check configured for passive only, it simply states "No performance graphs were found for this service."
I have configured retention and processing of performance data in both the service check, and in the template which that service belongs to. Neither seem to make a difference.
Does nagiosxi collect performance data on a nsca submitted check?

Re: Performance Data from Passive Checks.
It should, yes, but performance data has to match a very specific format. Are you using the same plugin for the passive check as for one of your active checks? If so, do you have graphs for the active check of the same plugin? Which plugin is giving you trouble?
Re: Performance Data from Passive Checks.
Every passive check. We check disk space, free memory, service health.. some are the pre-supplied binary checks, some are self-written. What format are you speaking of? Do you have a link or doc that can show what the system is looking for?

Yep, http://nagiosplug.sourceforge.net/devel ... tml#AEN201
I assume the states are current and everything, with the checks being processed correctly, and graphs are the only problem?

Thanks for the link.
Correct, graphs are the only problem.

Here's the developer guidelines for performance data, hope this helps!

Re: Performance Data from Passive Checks.
Hi, I have this exact same problem. All the passive checks are coming from another Nagios via NSCA so I would imagine there is no problem with the format of the data. So, the hosts show up as unconfigured objects, I run the wizard, I can then see them after that and I have status information etc, everything except graphs ? I was starting to think this was maybe default behavior but it seems not ? Steps to recreate
Both Nagios are latest updates, ie 2.3
One has outbound transfers set up using NSCA Outbound Check Transfer Settings
One is setup for Inbound Check Transfer Settings using NSCA
They are talking to each other as I can see all the hosts of the sending Nagios in the receiving Nagios as unconfigured objects.
I have imported some using the Unconfigured Passive Object Monitoring Wizard (Which starts at step 3 by the way)
Once imported they show as a normal object and I can see status, I can also see the results of the last check
Example OK - 192.168.0.204: rta 0.503ms, lost 0%
However clicking on performance graphs gives "No performance graphs were found for this service." ?
Any help appreciated.
Using Vmware images both end, no modifications to either system other than updates, they are stock.
