Default NagiosXI username/pword not working

I'm installing the latest version of NagiosXI (2012R2.2) using the x64 OVF template downloaded directly form the Nagios website. The installation went off without a hitch, and the VM is up and running on my ESXi5.1 host. PROBLEM: default credentials - (user: root)+(passwd: nagiosxi) - is NOT working. "Login incorrect" response, every time. I'm attempting this directly from the VM console. It's simply not accepting the default root+nagiosxi credentials, as specified.

What in the world could be wrong??

I was not able to recreate this issue. Logging in with "root" and "nagiosxi" worked for me. I am not sure what the issue would be. Can you try re-importing the "nagiosxi-2012r2.2-64.ova" (or re-downloading and re-importing it)?
