I'm in the middle of testing out an upgrade from Core 3.0.6 to XI 2012R2.2. Generally it seems to be going well requiring only minor fixes to the configuration files. However, I recently ran into a rather time intensive problem. The host files imported mostly intact, but the services are being a bit stubborn. The issue is the max_attempts, check_interval, retry_interval and notfication_interval values didn't carry over. The system is requiring that I touch each service entry with the updated information. Is there a way to apply a template to provide this information? Thanks in advance.

We're upgrading from a 32 bit Suse 10 box to CentOS 6.4 (64 bit) VM.

Re: Upgrading from Core to XI - some issues
Did you use the config import prep tool, prior to importing the config files?

Yes. Create a service template with just those options configured. Then, once all your services are imported, add the template to those imported services.
