Since you are running version 4.x you will need to expand your configuration file to do so, enter command prompt and run the following:

cd "C:\Program Files\NSClient++\"

nsclient++ nscp settings --generate --add-defaults --load-all

Now you should see the extended settings being loaded, you should now be able to re-open your nsc.ini file and have access to everything else and configure from there.

Hey there... Went dark on you guys for a bit there, other pressing issues @ work. I'm back.

Thank you for the GREAT reposes to this. I now have working what I need. I am monitoring C and D drive space, no big deal but shows it is working and i have a better handle on the conventions.. Next is how do I add my own checks say via WMI or Powershell to the NSC++ client? I would assume just list them in the nsc.ini file?!?! How do I call them? I assume the same as I did UPTIME (for example).

You can run a variety of different scripts. You will have to define your commands under the "external scripts" section in the "nsclient.ini" file. Then you can call the scripts from nagios via "check_nrpe", for example:

You will have to open port 5666 on the Windows box.
