Hi there,
Hoping this is the right forum.
We are looking at purchasing Nagios XI as an upgrade for our monitoring solution but I've run into some difficulty with the trial version. We have a range of network printer types such as HP, Zebra, Datamax and CANON and I have an issue when auto-discovering Datamax printers the devices will drop off the network and will only re-appear after a hard reset. Following the hard reset Nagios still reports nothing found. SNMP is enabled on the devices.
We have over 100 of these printers across the network and they share static IP ranges with servers and other printers so I really need to get this resolved before I can proceed.
I briefly searched the forums for similar issues but came up with nothing conclusive.
Appreciate any help.
Bjorn

Are you able to ping them or do a manual SNMP GET from the XI system? I'm just wondering whether they are really responding, have working connectivity to that server, etc.

I have also Rapid x printer and uses Nagios XI also but don't have any problem regarding accessing it. I think the problem during installation of SNMP on proper network servers so you should reinstall its all tools properly and then check it again. Hope it works after that. Best of Luck!!
