Nagios availability reports

Post by Cube »

Hi,

sorry for posting here, I have bought NagiosXI but for some reason i can't write to Customer support....

So I need help about only one small thing. Our marketing is asking service availability reports but in specific manner. We are doing some kind of TV streaming so The service should be 100% time up.
So let's say we have db1 db2 db3 and db4. Let's say that 3 of them go down and only one is working. I need a report that will show that 3 are down but the service availability is 100%, because the last one is up and providing.

How to do that?

Thanks

Sorry to hear about the forum access issue, can you contact sales to get this resolved?:

This is something you would want to use BPI groups for:
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... _Addon.pdf

It will allow you to create groups and set up essential members i.e "your databases" then, you can set the group to only alert you when certain members are down, or a percentage is down.
