Nagios Update link

Post by sikainfo »

Hi,
the Nagios Update check in the Dashlet "Administrative Check" doesn't work, also since short time the Link Check for Updates doesn't work.
I checked the base Web-Adress http://www.nagios.com doesn't work anymore http://www.nagios.org does work.
any clou?

Looks like nagios.com does work again, but still the check in the "Administrative Tasks" does not work at all

Is this back to normal now? We had a short outage over the weekend on one of the site hosting server's. Which check is this specifically?

You are right, it's back to normal, the link in the bottom left works normal.
But in the Adminscreen in the administrative Tasks dashlet the automatic check fails here since the very first day we've installed.

If you are behind a proxy you will need to configure the Proxy in Admin -> Proxy Configuration

When you say configured, did you use the proxy component, or manually configure some settings? http://support.nagios.com/wiki/index.ph ... th_Proxies

I doublechecked, the conf files with the wiki you mentioned, and everything is correctly set.
Also the Proxy Component is installed and set fine, the pear config I reissued because I couldn't be sure this was allready done.
Then I rebooted the Server but the problem still persist.

Can you ping, by name:

Code: Select all

ping api.nagios.com
If you cannot, you either have proxy and/or dns issues.
