Mails not triggered/Domino Monitoring.

Post by HAL »

Hi,

1) We receive notification/mail in common mailbox for all servers for C:\ except a few.

when checked the service proper contact group is added, also compared with other servers where the alerts are getting generated.

Please help how to troubleshoot.

2) Dead mail and Waiting mail parameters are not getting monitored in some servers, the error is no data received from host, i tried copying .mib dile again and also restart of lnsnmp & snmp, no luck yet.

These should not have anything to do with notifications, however, we need to clarify are you talking about a problem getting emails to certain contacts, or with getting notifications for different services?

If we talk only about the first problem I have mentioned, I can see the disk space Critical alert in Nagios but there is no mail generated for the same.

The Contact group and the email ID given are fine, and this issue is being faced for only some of the parameters.i.e. few servers did not generate a mail when C:\ disk space went low, while rest servers report it properly via mail.

Mail generation is important for us as it inturn generated a automated ticket.

It would be easier to troubleshoot this issue via the email ticketing system. Please, email us at [email protected] and put "Mails not triggered/Domino Monitoring" in the subject line.
Describe which contacts are not getting alerts (and for which hosts/services). Also, include your latest configuration snapshot.
