implementation from http port

Post by jwu »

I have NagiosXI installed and plan to monitor an environment that is not in my network.
The plan is to implement the monitoring through HTTPS port.
Lets say I have multiple servers with Linux, Windows etc...
Once I open the port permissions, how would I specify the server in the wizard?
I plan to go with the Central Monitoring architecture

If you are looking to leave the remote sites without any incoming ports and just open nagios to 443, I would suggest nrds\nrdp. It works on both linux and windows as a passive agent. Try taking a look at some of the documentation.

Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
