"Quick Find" meets "Mass Acknowledge"

I'd love to see some more features added to the "Quick Find" search.

1) Regex support. Would like to match all hosts/services matching a regex string.
2) Ability to take an action on all services/hosts that match the search, in particular scheduling downtime. Similar to how Mass Acknowledge works for suppressing broken alerts or canceling scheduled downtimes.

For example, we need to push an update to all Sophos agents on all of our hosts. I know the change will break the Sophos check for the next three hours and would like to schedule downtime preemptively.

I'd like to:
Search for all services that are named "Sophos"
Select all results and schedule downtime.

We have different teams using Nagios XI. Not all of the users have administrative rights and cannot create servicegroups/hostgroups on-the-fly.

Hmm I could see this being handy, or at least a search function added to the mass acknowledge component which will also show every host / service. Could you add this to our tracker for feature requests?
