Email Notification

Hello there,
My nagiosxi is running great, however, I cannot receive emails.

Hello Lamin,
by default the sendmail already setup. I see that you are using SMTP settings and have the "sendmail" box checked. You will have to use one or the other for this. Also, please check any Spam box you may have in an email client as often it may end up there.

If you need to use the SMTP you may have to use the whole domain as the username.

what is the default email address that i need to put in the box(Mail from).

That would be your email address or the email client you would like in there that will be administrating.

it is not running and I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Try changing the "send mail from" email to root@localhost


Also,
Go to:
-Configure
-Change Your Account Settings

-(on the left panel)Notification Methods
-tick off Email and the Update Settings

Report back with status when you can if possible.
