I have been trying to debug a problem with only one notification being
sent out on a host. This seems similar to the others reported over the
last week in the users mailing list. In looking at this problem it
seems an update to logging could be very helpful. What would be nice is
the ability to alter debug logging with out having to recompile and
restart nagios.
Apache has a logging product that would do just that, log4cxx a port of
log4j. Would there be any interest in a set of patches that adds the
ability to compile in log4cxx support and a change to the current
DEBUG0-4 levels so that if log4cxx is compiled in, those debug
statements would go through calls in log4cxx?
