Sorry Ange,
Your web browser should auto-populate these, we have no intention of using cookies from the browser to emulate this behavior as was done in the past. It's an antiquated technique that's been deprecated by past advancements in browser technology.

"Sorry Dave" Error
Re: "Sorry Dave" Error
We are also having the same issues cdrshm has described. We have a new installation of Nagios XI 2009R1.3. Currently only users using Firefox 3.6.8 can log into the system. I have tried this myself with Safari 5, IE 7, and Google chrome and am not able to login even after clearing the cache. I have also not been able to login using internet explorer from a newly created virtual machine.
Any suggestions?

Re: "Sorry Dave" Error
Google chrome is known not to work.
IE: http://go.nagios.com/faq#GUI_Issues
Safari is not tested. Do you know weather it implements JScript(like IE) or the standardized ECMAScript based JavaScript?
We recommend using FF.

Re: "Sorry Dave" Error
There's a lot of code in both XI and Core that use some pretty dated html (html4.0, frameset, tags with capital letters, etc). I know Chrome and a lot of the browsers are continuing to adopt the newer standards. At some point we need to go through and update the code for valid html, then it should work on everything except IE, which seems to have problems either way ; )
Re: "Sorry Dave" Error
