This issue has just been raised to me in older versions of Opsview as =
well, so I thought I'd look into this here.
I can't see why display_name and alias are saved to retention.dat as =
retention.dat is meant to hold data that changes over time (and I don't =
believe these values are dynamically updatable).
So if no one raises an objection, I'm going to back out this change from =
trunk tomorrow.
