Once upon a time, I've tweaked syslog-ng to write to the command pipe. That
worked like a charm.

Greetings,

does anybody know of a NSCA replac=
ement,
which does the job without the need
of unsupported libraries? The requ=

of libmcrypt makes NSCA a real hassle
to use for us, since we have to ma=

install third party libraries - which we really
do not want to. RedHat won't s=

libmcrypt, as its development is long dead.

Any alternatives out there, my goo=

Or might it be easier to patch NSC=

to use libgcrypt for example, which is available
in every distribution?
