[Nagios-devel] Question about 2.x to 3.x

Post by Guest »

Excuse the previous email, the section on nagios 3 is incorrect, where it s=
ays "right before broker_timed_event" it should say "right before run_sched=
uled_service_check"
I copied and pasted, guess I should have checked my clipboard :)

Sincerely,
Steve

Subject: [Nagios-devel] Question about 2.x to 3.x

Hi Everyone,

I was just working on a patch for the event profiler as I get it ready for =
3.x and I noticed something significant or at least I believe it may be sig=
nificant.
In nagios 2.x latency is calculated at the top of the event loop, but in na=
gios 3.x it's not calculated until handle_timed_event right before broker_t=
imed_event.
Why was that change made?
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Sincerely,
Steve
