I've updated send_nsca.c's input loop to fix this bug, and checked the
patch into SVN.
I've tested it with singular and multiple input packets ranging from
tiny, to very large and the bug seems to be resolved. Enjoy.
(Should I be filing bug reports when submitting fixes for my own bugs?)
