Nagios plugin

Post by dre2007 »

Can someone please tell me of how to install: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... rs/details
I just don't have the experience to install a plugin I am just a beginner, sorry.

Could you then also please explain me of what each command includes when installing the pluggin?
I can't find a good plain laymans guide on the interweb.

Your help would be much appreciated.

I would start by following the install.txt file included with the plugin. Those instructions look like the same thing we would have you do. Let us know where you get hung up.

... okay this is embarassing...
Sorry that I wasted your time with the below question.

I got a follow up question.
Could you please confirm that I only need to do step 1 to install and use the plugin?

And if so, please tell me what step2 is being used for?
It states "Create a patched nagios-plugins-1.4 RPM" but I don't know what this is... sorry.

It is showing you how to patch the plugins package RPM file to effect the changes you are making. Have you done this yet?
