I upgraded my system to 2012R2.3 two weeks ago to solve an issue with new service checks not showing in the gui. The issue was resolved by the upgrade. As my system was scheduled to go live Monday and I was prompted to upgrade to 2012R2.4 i performed the upgrade last week.
The result is that notifications stopped being generated and sent to all contact groups except new contacts and groups created post upgrade. To confirm this I deleted and recreated my contact and group membership and notifications started coming through. In the hope of resolving the issue I removed and recreated all contacts and groups. But still only my contact and the post upgrade groups are receiving emails although the system now shows that alerts are being generated for all contacts and group.
Thinking this maybe an email/exchange issue I had a user who isn't receiving alerts generate a test emails notification which was received. In check /var/log/maillog, only mine, the new contact groups and the test emails are being shown to have emails sent by postfix.
Currently pulling my hair out, any suggestions that help me resolve this issue would be gratefully received.
This instance is running on VmWare and upgraded using the following http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ctions.pdf
Email Notifications generated but not being sent via postfix

Re: Email Notifications generated but not being sent via pos
the current settings are
smtp
send mail from: [email protected]
host: mail.tmng.com (this has been defined in DNS to direct to our exchange server)
port:25
security: none
I should mention that both the sendmail and smtp options work as I and 4 other contacts are receiving emails. Also the nagioxi instance ipaddress has been added to the hub transport on exchange.

If you go into the CCM -> Contacts -> Edit a contact not receiving mail, can you click the Alert Settings Tan and then check the
Manage Host Notification Commands
Manage Service Notification Commands
What commands are specified?
