XI Install question

Post by BanditBBS »

Ok, I am putting in a firewall request so I can install/upgrade XI. What access does it need to the internet, meaning, what all does it try to do during the install that goes out to the internet?

I believe the only connections it should make are to our assets address and the repos required to update the install's packages such as YUM and Epel in some cases.

Is the assets IP static? I understand it may change at sometime in the future, but they really like to lock it down, especially the network it is on right now.

Well the direct address it is contacting should always be:

assets.nagios.com/downloads/*

I wouldn't worry about this changing.
