Custom User or usergroup permissions

Post by anil_kumarv »

Is there any option to set custom user or usergroup permissions in XI ?

For example a group of users should only be able to view the hosts/services that they are supposed to or part of and not everything.

Suppose we have two hostgroups Unix machines and Windows machines. Can we set permissions for a group of users in XI so they should be able to view only those machines which are part of a specific hostgroup(like Unix machines or windows machines) once they log into XI. (E.G : People who get alerts for windows machines should only be able to view and have custom permissions for those windows machines and not all hosts & services).

Thanks

Keep in mind bumping your posts only puts your thread lower on our list of "to be replied to....."

The way you would be able to make this happen would be to assign a contact to that user, or those users, and then assign that contact to your host/services. Then you will want to set the user's permissions in XI as read-only.
