Dear Mary

Do you specific agents to monitor databases like Informix, MySQL ,
Ingress etc. And to what extend we can monitor these databases in the
Nagios XI .

You will find a number of plugins for MySQL and Ingres on the Exchange (http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Databases) that you can choose from. I don't see any for Informix there, so you may have to write those yourself - see http://nagiosplug.sourceforge.net/devel ... lines.html.

Hello, I am planing to monitor EBSuite and my Oracle Database by quering the database only.

For that, I still need to install agents on the database servers ?

If so, does the agent consume any CPU while not been required ?

That depends on the plugin you use and what exactly you're monitoring, but I doubt you'll need an agent to monitor most things.
