I'd recommend using the wizard, it will be the fastest way to accomplish this.

Okay, I'll re-ad using the Solaris Monitoring Wizard - I'll get back to you when I'm done.

Okay, I re-added the server successfully - now I'll try the original recommendation. Thanks!

Sigh, I'm starting to feel stupid. I have looked at the page http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... gement.pdf and I don't understand how to re-create the host.

Thanks for your patience.

I do see this:

Database Relationships for host : simsfs01.umaryland.edu
Items labeled as: 'Dependent relationships' will prohibit deletion
Object ID: 10 of table tbl_host:
Relation to Hostgroups, entry: sims-prod
Relation to Hosttemplates, entry: xiwizard_linuxserver_host

This is a Solaris box not a linux box - could this be a problem?

It seems like you are trying to delete a host (simsfs01.umaryland.edu) that that cannot be deleted because of dependent relationships. You need to remove it from the "sims-prod" hostgroup under the CCM.

Note: Before deleting a host under the CCM, you can always click on the "Info" actions button first to see if this host can be deleted or it has dependent relationships.

I deleted the host successfully last night. I have re-added it this morning using the wizard and it's reporting on the predefined services under Solaris.

If you re-added the host and it's reporting fine, where do you see the 'Dependent relationships' message? Can you describe in details all of the steps you took, prior to seeing this message?
