Difference B/W Available & Legacy Reports

Post by wiproltdwiv »

Dear Team,
we extracted Monthly report from Available reports for Availablity of Branch Network and we got the up % of 47%. same way when we extracted report from Legacy reports for Branch Network of same period, we got up% of 55%. Please confirm why this change in percentage when compared to noraml & Legacy reports.

in simple we need to know the actual difference b/w Normal Available reports & Legacy Reports.

Also please confirm on how to extract Legacy reports containing graph in PDF Format.

Thanks is Advance

We are not seeing the same differences in reporting between legacy and XI reports. Can you regenerate them and verify 100% that you are using either this month or last month for both time filters. Initially I had them different and thought we were seeing the same issues, prior to a co-worker pointing out that I had selected this month for XI reporting, and last month for legacy. This is especially possible due to how close this and last month are when selecting legacy options.

As for generating a pdf of legacy reports, the simplest way I can think of would be to open the legacy report as you want it set with all options entered and report being displayed, then use the scheduling icon on the upper right blue bar. It looks like a tiny clock and will schedule whatever page you currently have in the main XI iframe. You will need enterprise licensing to do this, which is separate from standard.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

hi,

we created group called branch network to monitor components in those period of time alone..

till now we are pulling reports in pdf format in under availability report module.

while we generate the same kind of report under legacy module we found the difference in percentage.

pls suggest , which on we trust. ?

we are thankful for your revert.

It is likely because in the legacy report you have selected "worktime" as a time period.

The non-legacy report in XI does not have an option to select custom time periods.

Are you using the same report time periods for both, the Availability and Legacy reports that you are comparing?
