Availability report PDF currupt

Post by anil_kumarv »

Hi

We have scheduled a weekly report to generate every Monday of specific host-group & service group. But we are not able to open the attached PDF's. We get the following error :

"Adobe Reader could not open 'Availability_report(2).pdf' because it is either not a supported file type of because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

This has happened twice now in the past two weeks. We had to generate the report manually again, in which we are able to open PDF's.

Is this known problem for scheduled reports ..?

IS the issue only with scheduled reports, or manually created ones as well?

The issue is only with scheduled reports. PDF's for manually created reports are opening fine.

Have you implemented anything in the last few weeks like forced ssl?

No we have not. Is there a way you can set up a call and have this fixed at the earliest.

You do not have phone support on your contract. You will need to go through our normal support channels and work hand in hand with us.

Is there any update on this. We still are facing the same issue with opening PDF's on hostgroup availability.

I tried deleting the old scheduled reports and created new weekly and daily hostgroup availability reports. But we see the same issue when opening the attached PDF's

"Adobe Reader could not open 'execsummary.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type of because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Are you having issues with both, the Availability Report and the Executive Summary Report? What is the version of the Nagios XI that you are currently using? Go to Admin->Manage System Config and post a screenshot of this page. Also, run the following command and show us the output:

Code: Select all

tail -50 /var/log/httpd/error_log

We have the latest version on XI. We face the same problem with Scheduled Availability report or Scheduled Executive Summary report of Hostgroup. Here is the output of the error log :
