Time period customization

Post by vinothsethuram »

I dont want Nagios to send notification between 2.00 to 4.00 AM. Is following time period definition correct?

sunday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
monday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
tuesday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
wednesday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
thursday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
friday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00
saturday 00:00:00 - 01:59:00, 04:01:00 - 24:00:00

If correct, is there any possibility to send email at 2.00 and 4.00 AM ?

This would be a good place to see definitions in action:

http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/timeperiods.html

You are currently saying every day you want notifications between 12:00AM - 1:59AM, and 4:01AM - the following 12:00AM, if that is what you want then yes those definitions are correct.
