Hi All, just a bit new to nagios here.
We have website monitoring happening. recently migrated a bunch of website across to a new server and changed the IPs too.
But Nagios monitors are not updating the IPs for these site with the new ones and thus sending heaps of alerts. we removed these monitors and recreated them but of no use. we are unable to fix this issue.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks heaps
A
re-creating website monitoring not working
Re: re-creating website monitoring not working
If you access the Core Config Manager->Hosts->(a specific host), then change the "Host Address" field to the new address (this can be either an IP or a FQDN), that should allow you to run the new checks against the new address. The only check that will still face an issue is the DNS IP check, which passes the IP in one of the $ARG$ fields.

you know what? you are gonna laugh at this. My network and security team blocked access to the sites on port 80 for the nagios server !!!!
i got them to open that and everything is working as expected.
Thanks

It's an understanding laugh, as we've had very similar moments ourselves.
Glad you got it working - let us know if you have any other issues.
