Add Windows Service

Post by toleolu »

I've got an existing windows server that I want to start monitoring a windows service. In the past when I tried this running the config wizard, it would create a new host, obviously something I am doing wrong.

Could you point me to some documentation or the procedure for adding a windows service to a currently monitored host?

The host configuration needs to exist before you can monitor a service. If the host already exists, make sure that when you run the wizard you use the same hostname and ip that the current host object is configured with.

Got it, thanks. You can close this one out too.
