This appears to have broken since I upgraded to the latest version, its a modified XI VM image thats been in production for about 18 months, I use mod_gearman to offload one sites checks to a local HyperV VM, all others are handled by gearman on the Nagios server itself.
To generate the error...
Log into Nagios
Select the REPORTS option
The select CAPACITY PLANNING from the Available Reports section
Choose a HOST and a service, seems to be irrelevant which host and service we select (tried many!)
This would normally bring up a graph for the current week without prompting but you now seem to have to use the CALCULATE button
Select EXTRAPOLATION DATA from the options
Choose Period – 4 weeks
Method – Least Squares
Extrapolation Out – 16 weeks
Then use the CALCULATE button again
The graph that should appear doesn't and we get the following error
Projected Value Description Date Reached
95 Critical Value Out of Period
85 Warning Value Out of Period
XI2012 R2.7 Capacity Planning - Out of period

Re: XI2012 R2.7 Capacity Planning - Out of period
Okay, so you are seeing the warn/crit values being outputted in the table that normally appears below the graph, but there is no graph? Is there a High Charts box that would normally have a graph in it? Do any errors appear there? Can you provide a screenshot of the entire page, and also the output of the following command ran from the CLI right after you try to extrapolate this graph data out:
Code: Select all
tail -50 /var/log/httpd/error_log-

As I didn't get a quick response I carried on looking and found a new release 2.8b which I installed, this has fixed this issue and its working fine again

Sorry we couldn't get to you sooner, but we were out of the office for the weekend. Glad it got resolved at any rate. Was there anything else you needed or should I close the thread?
