Bulk & Templates

Post by reincarne »

Hi,
I have two questions which can save a lot of time from me.
1) Is there a way to take all the CPU checks in my company and change in bulk all the thresholds?
2) How to use exactly to templates for services? I've created a template with specific threshold, specific time interval, and specific contacts. How do I assign it to a service? I loaded it from the nagios check window, but it keeps only my manual settings and not the data from the template.

Thanks.

The easiest way to do this is to setup one the way you would like all the settings, then use the bulk host cloning wizard to apply the changes or additions to many hosts

Well, but still its a lost of time. hat about the second question? Why the templates are not working?
I could use a template, assign it to service group. Once I change something inside the temple - it changes all the services inside the group.

Can you describe in details all of the steps you took to do this? Post configs and/or screenshots if necessary.
